Like on the USB webboard you still don't understand what is asked off you to help you in answering your question.

This device obviously does not transport the buttons in a separate interface (USB term for a kind of logical device, not another plug as you think) as it should do. So that means it is using some proprietary method to transfer the button status though one of the pipes that are used for the mass storage interface.

To help you in solving your problem we still need to learn how this device reports the buttons. It definitely does not use a sensible approach to do this, it uses a proprietary method.


The Push buttons are visible to the user.They have kept this facility to
ease the Backup/Recovery operations.Say for eg. Whenever we push the
Backup button(which is on device) it flashes the GUI(On Windows).


I want to do the same thing in MAC OSX. So how will i trap the
event/Interrupt alongwith the code for specific operations related to 3
Push buttons.
