This is a KVM switch for example: http://www.kvm-switches-online.com/sw2-usb.html It is designed to switch a keyboard etc between two different computers. It must support two hosts and one USB device string. Isn't the only problem here that the Apple keyboard won't have any funny little "breaking window" keys etc? I would like to make the same setup to use a mini and a PC from the same keyboard and mouse. Ideally I want to interface with a KVM switch and be able to switch between computers and type in information for the keyboard and mouse from a USB port on my mac mini. I am currently ignorant enough so as to not have a clear picture of where to look to become less ignorant. Anyone able to tell me.... 1) Where to get scan code and packet info on Keyboard interface 2) Where to get scan code and packet info on mouse interface 3) if there is any difference between mac and windows USB keyboards I have found a solution where I go from USB to RS232 and then RS232 to USB mouse and keyboard, but that is pretty messy.
