IOHIDFamily problem

I've downloaded the IOHIDFamily-86.26 and I've attempted to build it
without success.  When compiling I get this error:

IOHIDLib/IOHIDDeviceClass.cpp: In member function `kern_return_t IOHIDDeviceClass::CreateLeafElements(const __CFDictionary*, __CFSet*, const void*, long int*, const __CFString*, IOHIDElementStruct*)':
IOHIDLib/IOHIDDeviceClass.cpp:1835: error: parse error before string constant

If I comment it out, it complains about missing files starting with
IOKit/ps/IOUPSPlugIn.h.

I saw somebody post this problem back in January to the darwin-drivers
list but nobody ever posted an answer.  What's wrong on line 1835 and
where are these other missing files supposed to come from?
