Not all PowerBook G4 machines are High Speed capable. Look in the usb pane of System Profiler. If you do not see "USB High-Speed Bus" then you do not have a HS capable machine.

Are you plugging the device in through a hub perhaps? If so, it is probably not a High Speed hub.

You cannot "switch" to the other configuration descriptor. That happens automatically when you plug the device into a High Speed bus. It appears that you are on a Full Speed bus.

is connected as FullSpeed device instead of

HighSpeed

device? This device is suppose to be connected as
