You should test on the GM version of 10.4 and 10.4.1 and 10.4.2. If
you test on a pre-release version, all bets are off -- we might've
had a binary compatibility issue that we fixed before GM (although I
don't recall whether we did or not). Try loading the
AppleUSBOpticalMouse.kext from your 10.3.9 install on the Tiger and
see if you get the same results.
