Re: How to talk to a composite/HID USB device

Bingo, you are right.

find /System/Library/Extensions -name "Info.plist" -exec
grep -H
 1155 "{}" \;

/System/Library/Extensions/STMicroTestDriver.kext/Contents/Info.plist:
<integer>1155</integer>

When I take the STMiecroTestDriver.kext out, HID explorer
sees my device as an HID device, which is great, it opens
great possibilities I think

But of course the software it goes with can no longer talk
to the device.

There is no way to have my pie and eat it both ways is
there?

1. I remove the Kext and use the device as an HID device but
loose the software
2. I leave the kext, and have to deal with using the device
with default drives and loose HID

correct?
