You can never conclude that the firmware is correct simply because it works on Windows. I don't know about Linux, but Windows makes no particular effort to comply with the USB spec, whereas Apple is meticulous about it.


Usually, when there is a failure of the firmware to comply, it is due to ignoring commands sent instead of stalling the bus, and the result is a timeout.
