Hado,

Have you checked out the MacOS X drivers for the FTDI chips from their website. http://www.ftdichip.com/ Usually you just need to edit info.plist to add the correct VID/PID and you'll have a serial port up and running in no time.

btw: In XP there is a matching problem where for use of the device xps
driver has to be eliminated.
