hi!!
i am a student developer who have just recently
learned device driver programming. i have been
assigned to program a Mac usb Device camera driver.
Question 1:
The problem we have now is that the writepipe code
hangs whenever it is executed. the problem may be that
the pipe is naking but i am not able to comfirm this
as i do not have a USB analyzer and cannot afford to
get one. Thus, is there any other way to look at the
information that goes about in the pipes with the help
of a sniffer program? and could anyone recommend me a
free sniffer software.
Question 2:
i have a windows driver for the camera however do not
have its source code. Thus am i able to derive the
access codes(ie: commands to capture image) through
the help of a usb sniffer program?
Question 3:
if i am able to dervie the access codes say, 0x1f30 is
needed to be sent to the camera to capture an image,
do i send this command through the writepipe method?
and do i send this command through the control pipe or
the bulk pipe?
