Dead USB port

Power Mac G5 2.0 MHz -Tiger 10.4.1
Computer was recently cycled through the Sacramento Apple store for repairs (Logic board replacement).
All USB ports, (front and back) were dead. All firewire ports were OK.

Ten days later I had the computer back and running again. First thing I did was to check my USB ports.
The back USB ports were Ok but the front panel USB port was still dead. The Firewire ports, front and back,
were OK.
I would thing that after a logic board replacement replacement, all USB ports would be checked. Apparently not.
I looked inside at the connection cable to the mother board. The connectors appeared to be seated OK, except the black cover cap on the front panel connector was missing. Probably does not matter.

I have delayed taking it back to Apple store for repairs, hoping that the port will suddenly come back to life. I have read reports at web sites where "coming back to life" has happened with Firewire ports but I find very little info about USB ports.

I booted into Open Firmware, "reset-nvram" and then "reset-all". Computer rebooted OK, but the front USB port was still dead.

The System Profiler does not show a connected device in the front USB port. The connected device I have been using is a flash drive that works in all other USB ports. When in he front port it will not light up (no power).
Is there something else I can do before running off to Apple repair again?
