IOHIDPostEvent

Hi,

What could be happening when IOHIDPostEvent() is called in order to post a volume up/down keyboard event, returns no error, but nothing happens (as in, the volume doesn't change)?

I have a situation where I have 2 USB devices which are being read consecutively and events need to be posted in response. If I'm using the 1st device in which an event is posted using CGPostxxx, the call to IOHIDPostEvent() in response to the 2nd device will not actually do anything. However, if I stop using the 1st device the call to IOHIDPostEvent() works fine.

Any ideas?
