USB Mass Storage driver for device which doesn't conform to specs

Hello

I'm interested in implementing a USB mass storage driver for my mobile phone which does not conform to mass storage specs. What I have understood there is something about the device id that tells to the operating system that the usb device is operated with mass storage driver.

What I have tried to understand and implement is a subclass of USBMassStorageDriver [http://www.opensource.apple.com/darwinsource/ 10.4.1/IOUSBMassStorageClass-140.0.7/] which only loads it for this specific vendor and device id [http://tuxmobil.org/nokryptia.html].

This I think is very trivial to someone used to play around with IOKit but for me who know only Java, this is a bit of a challenge. Could someone give me a few hints what to do.

Br,

Harri _______________________________________________
