Hi Alex,

Personally, I use (void*)deviceInterface rather than LPVOID. Not sure if that'd work in C++, I don't use it :) But I say use whatever works.

this question has been asked on this list before, but I was unable to find a conclusive answer. So forgive me for asking again:

In several places of the Apple documentation I find this snippet:

kr = (*plugInInterface)->QueryInterface(plugInInterface, 
                                                        CFUUIDGetUUIDBytes(kIOUSBDeviceInterfaceID), 
                                                        (LPVOID)&deviceInterface);

Could it be that it acutally has to be casted to (LPVOID *)? While C and Objective-C do not complain, C++ does. Or is there more to it?
