This is certainly a matching problem. Can you post the values in your plists and the interface and device descriptors (you can use USB prober to get 'em).

V Device Descriptor
Descriptor Version Number: 0x0110
Device Class: 0 (Composite)
Device Subclass: 0
Device Protocol: 0
Device MaxPacketSize: 64
Device VendorID/ProductID: 0x0F48/0x4201 (unknown vendor)
Device Version Number: 0x0142
Number of Configurations: 1
Manufacturer String: 1 "Durand Interstellar, Inc."
Product String: 2 "Model 4201 DMX Converter"
Serial Number String: 3 "04092901"
V Configuration Descriptor: ....................................... "DMX Converter"
Total Length of Descriptor: 78
Number of Interfaces: 1

One question: if your device has one interface, why is it a composite device?

And if this interface uses HID, why bother with a driver? You can talk to it with userland code without any problems.

Best,
