Re: USB Prober & USB logger in Mac OS X (10.3.7)

The USB system software on MacOS prior to OS X, shipped with it's logging enabled. So no special versions of software were required to enable logging.

With MacOS X, in order to saved on wired memory, we only having logging enabled in special "logging" versions of the IOUSBFamily. You can download these from here: http://developer.apple.com/devicedrivers/download/index.html

Be sure to install the correct version for the OS version you are running, to avoid the embarrassing situation of booting with no working USB!

Hi,

Is there any bug in USB Prober of Mac OS X (10.3 or later)?
USB Prober of Mac 9.2.2 gives out USBExpertStatus messages when an
USB device is hot plugged in or plugged out, loaded driver
Information, enumeration details etc. Do I need to alter any
settings of USB Prober to get these messages?

Thanks and Regards,
