Our USB Ethernet shim is not working with the released version of Tiger. The shim uses mBufs successfully on 10.3. Has there been some change or work around required to get memory for a kext in 10.4 ? Has anyone else found a similar problem?

Harland,

Yes, there were some changes to the way mbufs work as a result of the BSD changes to implement KPIs (Kernel Program Interfaces).
These changes are not USB related, so I'd recommend asking again on email@hidden .
