USB MacOS Java - recommendations

Hi,

For research I want to connect a USB-device to Mac and access the data with Java. There are some possibilities to do that but with individual drawbacks:

- javax.usb: this doesn't work with Mac - jUSB: they support only Windows and Linux. I don't know if it works also on Mac - libUSB: supports Mac, but it's in C so I have to use JNI to access the data.

Unfortuantely I first have to know which way I have to go before I buy the device.

Does anyone has a recommendation what the most convinient way is to communicate with a USB-device under Mac with Java?
