Can I use webcams that are driven by macam or IOExperts with the Quicktime Video Digitizer ?

QuickTime provides the APIs for applications to use WebCams in Mac OS X. MacOS X supports USB VIdeo Class compliant devices via a QuickTime Video Digitizer component (same thing that macam and the IOXperts provide).

I would like to use every webcams, not only iSight. I heard about Macam, IOExperts that are drivers for webcams but is there a layer upon these drivers?
