I've got a user complaining that when he tries to use the newest
version of my application, he gets an IO Error opening the USB
device: e00002c5.
My understanding is that this error means that something else in his
system has already grabbed and opened the USB device (a calculator,
actually) - but, of course, he says that's not true. He also says
that an older version of the app can still connect.
Is my understanding correct? Is something else grabbing the calculator?
The difference between the old version and the current version is
that the new version uses newer versions of the IOUSB*Interfaces:
Any suggestions on where the problem might be? He is, of course,
remote and I can't get to his machine to look at what's going on. He
says he's running 10.4.2.
