The fact that there is a "IOUSBDeviceUserClient" nub attached to your IOUSBDevice indicates that there is a user client attached to the device. More than likely this is what's preventing your from opening it.


I assume that the ioreg was when your device was plugged in but YOUR user space app/driver was not running? Are you sure Classic is NOT running (Although I don't think Classic will attempt to grab composite devices if it was running).

Also, for your codeless kext, you don't need to up the IOProbeScore.
