had a
question about when a phone is connected to the comp. i'm trying to
write a simple program where it can send/receive data to the phone via usb
and i've modified the usb simple example to find the ports of the phone that i
plug in. but when i try to open the device, i get the
kIOReturnExclusiveAccess error everytime. i went into the system
preferences and i saw that it configured it as a network port. i guess cos
the phone is a communications device? but i unchecked them, but
they're still there. so my question is, is this what's opening the device
as soon as i plug the phone in? or is there some other task that keeps it
open? thanks everyone!
