Hello, I have been looking at trying a simple mouse emulation using a
Pic16c745 low speed controller on a iMac OS 9.2 with no success at the
upfront. This is based on the standard microchip firmware supplied by them. The device works on an XP or Win2K platform but is frozen on the Mac. I have a USB prober output to share. This is at the very end. 9274.119: [-1744495854]: Driver - USBHIDDriver:HIDOpenDevice client depth = 1 9274.119: [-1744495854]: Driver - USBHIDDriver:HIDOpenDevice client max perm = 3 9274.119: [-1744495854]: Driver - USBHIDDriver: Interrupt service routine installed -1744495854 9274.119: [-1744495854]: Expert - AlertDeviceNotifications(callback notification=255, class=3, subclass=1, protocol=2, vendor=0xffff, product=0xffff) 0 9274.119: [-1744495854]: Expert - AlertDeviceNotifications(checking notification=255, class=3, subclass=1, protocol=1, vendor=0xffff, product=0xffff) 0 9274.119: [-1744495854]: Expert - AlertDeviceNotifications(checking notification=255, class=3, subclass=65535, protocol=0, vendor=0xffff, product=0xfff 0 9274.119: [-1744495854]: Expert - AlertDeviceNotifications(checking notification=255, class=3, subclass=65535, protocol=0, vendor=0x5ac, product=0xffff 0 9274.119: [-1744495854]: Expert - AlertDeviceNotifications(checking notification=225, class=65535, subclass=65535, protocol=65535, vendor=0xffff, produ 0 9274.120: [-1744495854]: Expert - AlertDeviceNotifications(checking notification=255, class=3, subclass=0, protocol=0, vendor=0xffff, product=0xffff) 0 9274.136: [ 0]: USL - processDelayQ delayQueueChanged, breaking 0 9274.137: [ 0]: USL - allocating pipe 34 9274.137: [ 0]: USL - opening interrupt pipe with interval 10 9274.138: [ 0]: USL - findEndpointAddr 33 9274.138: [ 0]: USL - Stalling pipe -1744495854 9274.138: [ 0]: USL - ctlPktHandler error status 4 9274.138: [ 0]: USL - ctlPktHandler clearing stall 4 9274.138: [-1744495854]: Expert - ExpertNotificationProc: 25 9274.138: [-1744495854]: Fatal Error: USBHIDDriver: Error during kSetProtocol, -6912, 10 then many more tries ... 9274.146: [-1744495854]: Fatal Error: USBHIDDriver: Error during kSetProtocol, -6912, 10 9274.147: [ 0]: USL - findEndpointAddr 33 9274.147: [ 0]: USL - Stalling pipe -1744495854 9274.147: [ 0]: USL - ctlPktHandler error status 4 9274.147: [ 0]: USL - ctlPktHandler clearing stall 4 9274.147: [-1744495854]: Expert - ExpertNotificationProc: 25 9274.147: [-1744495854]: Fatal Error: USBHIDDriver: Error during kSetProtocol, -6912, 10 9274.147: [-1744495854]: Driver - USBHIDDriver: Pipe abort or unable to recover from error -1744495854 Could someone shed some light on this problem of "not understanding command?" I believe. Thanks Ron --
