ReadPipe Help Needed!

Hi List:

I am working on a driver for a EZ-USB (AN2131) device. I'm having problems doing synchronous reads of a bulk pipe. The manufacturer has supplied the Windows code for the device, as it does function correctly on Windows machines. This driver is for OS X. According to the Windows code, and SniffUSB (a Windows based analyzer), a 1 byte command is sent to the device to read its flash contents. An ACK is returned (I'm not having any problem with this part and the ACK returned is as expected). Here is where the problem starts...immediately after the ACK is returned on pipe 1, the read of the flash contents begins on pipe 3. As I said, this functions correctly on the Windows machine. When I attempt this same thing on the Mac, the error e00002ed is returned no matter what I do.

The device is a full speed device with max packet size of 64. In USBProber, all of the pipe attributes are (Bulk no synchronization data endpoint)

Has someone encountered a similar problem, or can someone offer some ideas as to why this is happening? Could it be that I need to be doing async reads? Any help is appreciated...I think I've aged a few years and lost some more hair :) Thank you.

Sincerely,

Mike Krugman
