Re: Need Help Spoofing a Windows USB Keyboard

OK looks like USB doesn't do what I want so in the interest of any one
who may have a similiar interest I thought I would out line my future
courses of action.

1) Locate a Host to Host USB bridge that makes it easy to spoof a
keyboard/mouse/wand etc. I haven't found anything like this but
surely I am not the first person to want to have two hosts
communicate. I would have thought that something that does this would
exist. I am not real interested in building it as the USB spec is
sounding a lot more complicated than RS232 and this isn't the focus of
my project.

2)  I have located a RS232 -> USB keyboard spoofer
here....http://www.vetra.com/335Utext.html This in conjunction
with a USB to RS232 should do the job for the keyboard....sample USB
to RS232 here.....http://www.saelig.com/easysync.htm I am not
endorsing either of these products and have only found the links not
done further research. The lack of a mouse spoofer rules this out for
me personally.

3) Buy a Lan-> USB KVM at the moment these are very expensive.
However in the near future this will probably be the easiest way to
solve this issue.

4) Build a Lan-> PS/2 Module and then use a standard KVM switch to go
PS/2 to USB. This is what I will do as I already have a Rabbit
semiconductor module capable of doing this although it would have
been heaps easier if PS/2 keyboards/mice used a standard RS232 setup
instead of the 8042 protocol they use (which requires a manually
implemented serial driver at the rabbit module level because 8042 is
different enough from standard serial that none of the drivers apply).

Thanks for saving me a lot of time =)
