For OS X 10.3.7 (build 7S215), the chart says that IOUSBFamily should
be at 2.1.4. However, on a newly purchased AlBook, it has 10.3.7
installed but it's build (7T62). kextstat shows that IOUSBFamily is
at version 2.1.5.
If I use the logging IOUSBFamily v. 214.4.5 on this AlBook am I going
to panic the system? Is there a 2.1.5 version of the logging
IOUSBFamily kext available?
BTW, thanks for providing this logging functionality. I just started
using it in my PCI device driver, because regular IOLog calls were
getting lost if they were too frequent (the buffer was wrapping),
which made for some pretty frustrating debugging.
