For OS X 10.3.7 (build 7S215), the chart says that IOUSBFamily should
be at 2.1.4. However, on a newly purchased AlBook, it has 10.3.7
installed but it's build (7T62). kextstat shows that IOUSBFamily is
at version 2.1.5.
If I use the logging IOUSBFamily v. 214.4.5 on this AlBook am I going
to panic the system? Is there a 2.1.5 version of the logging
IOUSBFamily kext available?
Yes, don't install a back rev version of the IOUSBFamily. Bad Things™
might happen.
We do not release logging versions of the IOUSBFamily for CPU releases
of the OS, as you have. You will need to wait for the next software
update.
We are working on a logging version for the 10.3.8 update. Details
will be posted soon.
