With the availability of Mac OS X v10.4.5 for PPC based Power Macs,
you can use the same IOUSBFamily v228.4.0 as provided in the
IOUSBFamily-228.4.0-log.dmg for Mac OS X v10.4.4.
The log version for the Intel based Macintosh systems will be posted shortly.
For those of you that use the USB Prober application and are prompted
to install a version of the KLog.kext, then experience a kernel
panic, this is a known issue which is being investigated -
<rdar://problem/444088>.
The fix for this problem is
1. reboot the system.
2. $ sudo rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/KLog.kext
3. $ sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions
4. reboot and reinstall the Logging kit.
