| Claude: Here's a transcript of a brief session using the Apple USB Modem on a PPC PowerBook 17, using ZTerm to communicate to it. As you can see, the modem does report the CallerID data, at least in this instance. The AT commands in UbiSurf_AT_Command_Set.pdf don’t exactly match the expected behavior of this modem. I’m trying to retrieve Caller ID. The modem appears to default to Caller ID enabled, but returns only “RING”, when called. I’ve never retrieved Caller ID from a modem, so maybe it’s done another way, but this illustrates that no information appears to be available. Surely someone at Apple knows more about this? Also, Is anyone aware of an app that utilizes the Apple USB Modem as an answering machine? I’m at a standstill developing anything for this device. |
