Your question regards a sample that was written quite a while ago. It's one that hasn't been touched in quite a while. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to spend to investigate the matter. However, since that sample was released, I did investigate some problems and did modify the code to be more robust in handling unexpected media removal issues. I will send a separate response with the updated sample.

check the mounted unit and remove the icon if remove memory card
without eject normally?
