Thanks for the advise and indeed it does now link correctly.
So my question is if that method is deprecated what should the new
call be for a Kext User Dialog be if you are using the kpi?
I have not been able to find one, but then again I am new at this api.

On my Intel iMac with 10.4.8 installed the CDC kexts are installed
but would appear to have the User Notification removed as they
don't reference com.apple.kpi.unsupported .
