Thanks for the advise and indeed it does now link correctly.

So my question is if that method is deprecated what should the new call be for a Kext User Dialog be if you are using the kpi?

I have not been able to find one, but then again I am new at this api.

At least for the symbol UserNotificationDisplayNotice you need to include the OSBundleLibraries com.apple.kpi.unsupported . The User Notification from a kext seems to be deprecated as of 10.4.

On my Intel iMac with 10.4.8 installed the CDC kexts are installed but would appear to have the User Notification removed as they don't reference com.apple.kpi.unsupported .
