Re: Mac OS X 10.5.1 + USB Prober + Mac Book

You need to install the logging version of the IOUSBFamily for 10.5.1 (same as 10.5.0) from:

http://developer.apple.com/hardwaredrivers/download/usbdebug.html

Level 7 can really only be used for very short bursts of logging. I recommend level 6 at the most.

BTW, Apple is on it's annual holiday shutdown, from now until Jan 2. Very few people will be reading the posts, so please don't expect any answers during this period.

Hi List,

I am attempting to trace USB traffic with USB Prober
on my Mac Book running 10.5.1 and USB prober 3.0.0
from the Xcode on the DVD.

Every time I try to trace ANY USB traffic with the
prober I detect nothing, at level 7.

Is there any know problem with this combination?

What do I need to do to resolve this?

On a Intel desktop running 10.4.10 and USB Prober
2.5.0 I can see alot of traffic. Problem with this is
almost every device I use is USB and and the probe log
are enormous.

My on my Mac Book the device I am trying to trace is
the only USB device I use so this would simply things
for me if I could trace using the Mac Book.

Thanks

Stuart
