Does anyone know why IOUSBFamily and IOUSBMassStorageClass have been updated for the Intel version of Mac OS X 10.4.9 and not the PPC version?

On Intel machines running 10.4.9:

IOUSBMassStorageClass 1.4.7
IOUSBFamily 2.6.5

On Power PC:

IOUSBMassStorageClass 1.4.5
IOUSBFamily 2.5.9

I have a device that works with the new versions of the kernel extensions on Intels and not on the old ones on the Power PCs.
