kIOReturnExclusiveAccess on Core 2 Duo

Hello,

Let me ask a question.
My application uses USB floppy disk drive via UFI.
No special kernel program is needed.
It uses USBInterfaceOpenSeize() .
To ensure this works, USBInterfaceOpenSeize() is called
while floppy disk is NOT inserted in the drive.

I have built the application as PowerPC code by CodeWarrior and Universal Binary by Xcode.
Both program works fine on PowerBook G4, Mac mini Core Duo and MacBook Core Duo.
(to clarify, PowerPC code works fine on Mac mini Core Duo and MacBook Core Duo,
thanks to Apple's superb technology)

But both program does not work on MacBook Core 2 Duo.
I have tested on two individual machine and I got same result.
The reason is USBInterfaceOpenSeize() returns kIOReturnExclusiveAccess.
Are there any difference in USB or Mass Storage driver stack
depending on Core Duo and Core 2 Duo ?
Or are there any "hard to find" process which grabs Mass Storage driver
on Core 2 Duo machine ?

Regards.
