ReadPipeAsync error = $e00002e8

I have a device with the following endpoint properties revealed by USBProber:

Address:   0x82  (IN)
Attributes:   0x02  (Bulk no synchronization data endpoint)
Max Packet Size:   512
Polling Interval:   0 ( Endpoint never NAKs)

I am using the "USBNotification Example" to access the device via its Cypress FX2 chip.

I start an async read from the device and when my read completion routine gets called it has an error code of $e00002e8.

Does anyone have any ideas about how to solve this problem?
