Folks,
I'm developing a driver for a GPIB/USB interface that uses the Cypress EZ-USB FX2LP chip and another chip for GPIB. The device required firmware to be loaded every time it's connected. It also has one id when it's unprogrammed and a different id after the firmware is loaded.
One complication is that due to a bug the first firmware load fails so the firmware has to be loaded twice.
Is it possible for a single driver to listen to multiple vendor/product ids?
Also, what is the best way to ensure the firmware is loaded once the device is enumerated? I don't believe the driver can access the file system to fetch the firmware.
Thanks in advance, Joel
