Joshua, due to Eolas Vs MS Explorer legal case, i'd expect the PlugIn support to be revisited on every Browser in the next future.

Ok, but there should be some sort of way to talk to your plugin via HTML, patent or not. I'm sure there will be a workaround. Personally, I think web methodologies should not be patentable... it's like patenting making a pointer in C... :(
