Re: Sending Post instead of Get?

Interesting.

Is there a means to do this in reverse that works for all browsers?

I need to pass a few variables back to my application and would like to keep them out of the URL if possible. But I don't want the attendant baggage of a form everytime I put a single button on a page.

I don't see how it would be possible. Browsers default to using GET requests to the webserver. POST was added later. In fact, early versions of netscape and IE don't even support POST.

In general, if you want to store variables you must use a querystring, POST a form, or use cookies. Of course the cookies can work with a session using a session id, etc.
