Ivan,

Don't use tables. You need to review the way you are coding and placing
elements on the page. Your layout is fairly simple and could be accommodated
with CSS positioning. Aside from better compatibility and flexibility, you
will have the added benefit of easier editing of content in the future.

There are several excellent sources on the web to help with this. A great
place to start is www.alistapart.com, or www.cssvault.com.
