I am looking through all the certificate authorities that are in firefox's list. Can someone give a brief explanation of what to consider when choosing an authority to purchase ssl keys from?

Is it the standard apache SSL (https) gig?
If so, there all about the same, be warned though (in my experience*) the big two (Thawte & Verisign) require a small forest of paper work (and maybe a pint or two of blood :), and will take @least a month to process.
Also some companies will try to sell you a "more secure" cert that you don't need, but will cost you more!

-S: Go for price, and ease (less paper work).

Thanks

* But maybe i just had an unusually bad service with these companies (please don't sue me :).
