Re: Safari Glitch - CSS Menu

Hi Jason,

Check out the navigation in this site I just posted.

I did, very briefly, due to time contraints. Interesting!

The menu is all CSS driven and works perfectly in other browsers but
for the life of me, I can't figure out how to fix this glitch in
Safari.

I'm not really worried about it. Safari is on the low end of my
development priorities, but still... I'd like to get it working.

Right. A matter of personal viewpoint. I personally could care less about any other browsers that are not standards compliant ;-), market realities notwithstanding. But let's not start any flame war on this :-)))

Any ideas?

First, I noticed that your id attibutes are not unique. This may not be a problem but it's incorrect AFAIK. Try to get your HTML and your CSS to validate.

Shouldn't the .first class selectors come before the pseudo selectors? I.E. "a.first:visited" instead of "a:visited.first". That's the way I read the spec at <http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-CSS2/selector.html>.
