Borders and fonts

I ran into an issue with my web app where I am a bit stumped.

1. Add a Text Area 
2. Drag it where you want it.
3. Type a title in the field on the right for your text area.
4. Select font size 36 and see how it does not resize the div accordingly.

Is this because I did not use createTextNode rather than innerHTML?

Problem is of course that I need to make sure that the text remains inside
the div as it should. Also I ran into an issue where if you type in too much
the div wraps ignoring the line newDiv.style.whiteSpace="nowrap"; Anyway
around this? 

I will also be looking into resizing the div to some formula using the font
size in pixels against the max size you set to draw a box bigger than the
text and then use css to align the text inside the div using the alignment
selected in the popup.

Any advice is much appreciated!
