.htaccess

Hi

I want to make a specific folder visible and from several tips, I'm told, creating an .htaccess file is what I need to do. I read the documentation at the Apache web site and while it explains what all the htaccess options are, I couldn't find a single complete example of what an htaccess file is supposed to look like.

If all I want to do is expose all files and folders in a specific directory, what would the corresponding htaccess file look like and where should it go
