Re: protect images from download

With some nifty PHP and MySQL you could go some way to protect yourself.

Store the images in blob in your MySQL DB - I will let you decide on if you want to do this, many people steer clear of it.

Create a .PHP file that generates the image using headers and MIME type functions, then in your HTML use an ID from the URL and include the .PHP file to call the image from your blob.

This will help to stop people linking to your images direct but as everyone says... there is no way to stop people from screen grabbing or something similar.

http://www.mediacollege.com/internet/security/protect-images/ shows you the three ways that people have suggested...

My advice... watermark them.

Hi,

This seem like it should be a simple thing.

If you have a PC and money.

Isn't there a way to protect images with a Mac (OS 10.5) and a limited budget?
