We do some heavy XSLT processing, we have to cache results otherwise
the experience is frustrating
Have you tried memcached, or something similar?
This sort of layered approach -- rather than writing your own caching
-- is what lets you get away with rapid development scripting
languages without getting killed with performance issues.
