At Apple, we don't normally discuss our future plans in public forums beyond what's on our website and other company-level announcements. We talked about other our plans for plug-in API at our World Wide Developers' Conference. Eventually we'll make a public announcement, even for people who didn't attend WWDC.


But this specific question is an exception to that rule. I can confirm that we did the first cut of designing the API that's documented on this page on the Mozilla web site, you'll see our company's name in the list, and we're definitely working on it.
