Browser won't recognize my Internet Plug-In

I'm currently developing a Browser Plug-In using the classic Netscape Plug-In API. The Plug-In is a CFM executable packaged into a Bundle residing inside ~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins. I do have the STR# resources properly set up to the correct MIME-Types.
However, when i try to test my plug-in in Safari, i get a message saying that I don't have a plug-in installed for the MIME type i'm using.
I can fix that by moving the Plug-In executable (or an alias to it) outside of it's bundle directly into the Internet Plug-Ins folder. However, for various reasons I'd really like to use a bundle for this - other browser plug-ins seem to work fine in bundles. Does anyone have an idea what might be wrong here?
Also if there's a more appropiate place to ask this question, let me know.

Thanks in advance,
jonas
