[2nd layer]: 10.3.9: [WebFrame loadHTMLString:baseURL:] BUG IMHO

IHMO, a bug has been introduced in the 10.3.9 release of OS X concerning the WebKit.

When you call

[myWebFrame loadHTMLString:tIncomingText baseURL:nil];

with tIncomingText being an empty NSString (@""), you get an exception from WebKit which states:

*** Exception received from DOM API: 8

I consider this to be a bug but maybe it's just a new behavior introduced as part of a master plan for global domination on empty strings.

Bug report filed as: Bug ID# 4092846

I don't see any reference to potential exception raising in the documentation on the ADC web site for the WebFrame class.

I would be interested to know the undocumented string constant used for this kind of exception so that I can help WebKit figure out that an empty string is probably going to be rendered as an empty string.
