I have a webview that I'd like to treat as read-only. Is there a
way to prevent selection?
This has now been requested three times, so it's starting to look to
me like a "frequently asked question".

not, it's a bug, and it would be quite useful if you filed a bug

I don't know of any other way to disable selection.
