This has now been requested three times, so it's starting to look
to me like a "frequently asked question".
Sorry. I managed to miss both that, and the delegate. (I didn't look
at the editing delegates because my view isn't editable.)
I found out that the
webView:shouldChangeSelectedDOMRange:toDOMRange:affinity:stillSelec
ting: is
only called when editing is enabled.
It's supposed to be called all the time, not just when editing.
If not, it's a bug, and it would be quite useful if you filed a
bug report at about it <http://webkit.opendarwin.org/quality/
reporting.html>.
I don't know of any other way to disable selection.
