Currently, these are both features in Safari, not in WebKit. We hope to provide them in WebKit in the future, and we have a bug tracking this to make it a WebKit API.

About highlight animation, I found NSTextView has showFindIndicatorForRange: method on Leopard. But it seems that WebView doesn't have it.
